The single point attach string neck straps work great for light meters, small point and shoots, digicams, and cell phones which have a single small attach point.
The attaching string is the same heavy duty waxed cord that's used for the wrapping. The string is surprisingly strong and attaches to the strap securely. Check out my strength test for a better visual. Although it can hold a lot of weight, it can be cut. Make sure there are no sharp edges where you would attach it. If there are, you might consider a Lug-mount wrist strap. You can also check out our page "Which strap do you need?" for a better visual.
I also include a black rubber o-ring to each strap so you can reduce the strap opening. All string neck straps are $27.
Length
You can choose any length that works best for you. 40" (101cm) is our most popular length for a neck strap, but the perfect length can vary from person to person. It depends on the length of your torso and how you like to carry your camera. For a more custom length, I’d recommend simulating the strap with a string then measuring that.
The attaching string is made of polyester cord which is very strong but it can be cut so make sure there are no sharp edges where you would attach it. If there are, you might consider a Lug-mount wrist strap. You can also check out our page "Which strap do you need?" for a better visual.

Colors
Leather color: Made of Latigo belt leather, my hand made camera straps are tough, flexible, and pliable. They have a natural luster that only improves with age and softens with use. Keep in mind that there are always variations in leather. The color and texture can vary from hide to hide. Please allow for this.

Wrapping cord color: You can choose between 16 different wrap colors.
For more information check out the Colors page.
|
Attach cord color: One of the best parts of the string strap is that you get to choose the wrap color and the color of the attach string.

Neck Pad
Neck pads are not available for string straps. The entire strap has to thread through the string loop and unfortunately it doesn't work with a pad on it. Luckily the cameras that require a string are lightweight and don't need one anyway.

Attaching the strap
|
First, feed the string through the attach point. |
|
Then, feed the strap through the string's loop. |
|
Pull tight and it's attached. |
